We're proud to be recognized as the California State LULAC Council of the year for 2024. Our council is respected for its outstanding work in promoting education, civil rights, justice, and equality for all individuals, making us a beacon of excellence within the LULAC network. Since 1987, our council has been dedicated to promoting education, civil rights, justice, and equality for all individuals. With nearly three decades of experience, we've made a significant impact nationally, focusing on youth advocacy, education, and leadership development.
As part of the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), the oldest and largest Latino civil rights organization in the US, we're committed to advancing the Latino community. With over 1,100 councils nationwide, LULAC's community-based programs have improved economic conditions, educational attainment, political influence, health, and civil rights for Latinos.
If you are already a LULAC Member, you can upgrade your Membership to become a Lifetime Member. If you do not want to be part of a council but still want to be involved with LULAC's work, you can be an Associate Member. Joining is easy and inexpensive when you consider the benefits of membership.
As a result of a partnership between the Hollister Recreation Dept and Jovenes de Antaño, we opened the new technology center at the community center. Thanks to a $10,000 AT&T grant awarded to LULAC.
Our LULAC Council 2890 is a non-profit organization. We rely on the kindness and generosity of volunteers, donors, and sponsors. Without their support, and financial contributions we would not be able to accomplish what we do best, help our community and advocate on their behalf.
